AIM Sweden AB is a high-tech startup company in the field of additive manufacturing (AM), started as a commercial spin-off from a long history of research within the field at Mid Sweden University. Our strategy is to offer contract manufacturing as well as engineering services to customers within medtech, aerospace and general industries based on AM (3D Printing). Currently our capability is focused around the Electron Beam Melting technology (EBM) by ArcamEBM.

Job description

You will be part of a small group of highly qualified specialists that mainly work with how we apply the EBM technology to solve customer challenges in the best possible way. This critical role involves customer interaction on technical basis, design optimization of the components to be produced as well as build strategy optimization to maximize the output from the EBM process for a wide variety of very exciting customers. The role also involves working with scripting for Rhino 3D that we use both in the design process and to streamline some of our internal workflows.

Being a startup company like AIM, the role will be broad, and your job will be different from one day to another. It is important that all employees are structured, take responsibility and are open to different type of tasks.

If you don’t have any previous EBM experience you will start the employment partly by running the machines to understand the technology.

We are looking for a person who has excellent knowledge within mechanical engineering and CAD, who is driven by technical challenges and like to dig deeply into technical problem-solving. The person we are looking for has a strong motivation to become an EBM specialist. Prior EBM experience or experience from other metal AM methods is a big advantage but is no requirement. Experience from programming and an interest in this is also an important factor.

  • Master/Bachelor of Engineering or similar
  • 3D CAD experience
  • Good Swedish and English

We offer

Full time position in a technically advanced environment with varying tasks and interesting customer applications. Flexible working hours, good health and pension insurance benefits and the opportunity to work with a technology on the move in a small committed team of colleagues.
